LetterFish News

In September of 2026 my collection of LetterFish prints will be exhibited as part of the Vatican Library’s annual exhibition AQVA: Catastrofe e Meraviglia, which highlights historical books from their collection as well as showcasing the work of contemporary artists. Additionally my work will be featured in the Vatican’s Agenda (desktop calendar) which will be available for purchase soon.

My work will be paired with an exclusive photographic installation by French artist, JR. Accompanying these visual elements are fish recipes and reflections penned by Italian chef, Fulvio Pierangelini, of the two Michelin Star restaurant Gambero Rosso. The exhibition is curated by the Vatican Library curators: Rev. Giacomo Cardinali, Simona De Crescenzo, Francesca Giannetto & Delio Proverbio. Sincere gratitude also goes to Chiara Agnioli and Cleo Meacci.

Through decades of studying and teaching typography, I’m thankful not just for the knowledge and inspiration I’ve gained, but also for the connections forged with other artists, printers and cultural institutions around the world, I feel equally at home in the American Midwest as I feel welcomed in Italy and the Vatican.
